I think it’s good that people here are able to discuss this topic with an open mind. The discussion seems to have shifted toward only controlled demolition theory. If we only talk about controlled demolition, we will never get anywhere because none of us are scientists or are really qualified to debate such issues.
There is however, a whole ton of evidence aside from the theory of controlled demolition that points to 9/11 being an inside job. People will attack 9/11 truthers by claiming that we don’t have any evidence, but I disagree and there is a mountain of evidence that the 9/11 truth movement has uncovered.
So I’ll summarize some of the strongest pieces of evidence aside from evidence that points to controlled demolition.
Since this is an economics forum… we can start by looking at the put options. There was an unpredicted number of put options against Boeing, American Airlines, United Airlines, and several other companies that were affected by the attacks whose stocks ultimately fell.
The War Games. On 9/11, there were many war games which I believe ultimately crippled the defensive efforts of the untied states to intercept the planes. On 9/11, they were running command post exercises with the Russians, where the F16s that would normally be in the North East sector, were flown up to Alaska. So there were very few planes to guard the skies. There were no supposedly no planes at Andrews Air Force base which is normally responsible for protecting Washington D.C.
There were drills that simulated hijacked aircrafts. There were drills that day of planes crashing into buildings. So basically, the people in the U.S. military tried to intercept the planes, but they had very few F16s at their disposal and they couldn’t tell the difference between the real world hijackings and the drills. In some of these hijacking drills, they actually inserted false radar blips onto the screen. Bin Laden sure got lucky to plan his attack during the day all these drills were taking place. (the US government claims these drills actually sped up the response).
The Pentagon. There is no evidence that AA 77 hit the Pentagon. There is no footage of the plane hitting the pentagon. There are only a few pictures and videos which show plane parts at the Pentagon, and none of them suggest that a large 757 struck the pentagon. Go look for yourselves. Try and find any evidence that a 757 struck the pentagon. There is simply very little evidence to support this.
Also, the Pentagon was stuck in the only wedge that was specifically reinforced to withstand an attack. The section of the Pentagon that was hit contained many accountants, bookkeepers, and finical information. On Sept. 10th, 2001, Rusmfled announced that they couldn’t track $2.3 trillion in transactions… then Bin Laden happen to attack the one section of the Pentagon that would destroy all these financial records and kill a bunch of accountants who may have been able to track down where the money went.
But think about this, the first tower was hit at 8:46, the second at 9:03. The Pentagon was struck at 9:37. I know the government is incompetent and all, but do you really think they couldn’t defend their military headquarters from a slow moving 767. It’s not like this was a fleet of Russian MIGs they were up against… we’re talking a slow moving commercial jet flying into some of the most restricted airspace in the world, hitting one of the most defended buildings in the world, over half an hour after everyone in the world knew the country was under attack.
The official story of the military’s response has been changed many times over the years… but the explanation that they give for not being able to intercept the plane that struck the pentagon was that the F16 fighters that were scrambled from Langley AFB was that they were chasing “Phantom AA 11”. Instead of protecting the Pentagon and White house, they were flying out over the ocean chasing an aircraft that did not exist. This is the official story of the 9/11 commission report which had to be fabricated after all the previous stories made even less sense.
The evidence against these hijackers is laughable. They claim to have found a passport from one of the hijackers on the streets of NYC. Do you really think a passport could have survived the plane impact and building collapse? That it just flew out of the guys pocket and landed on the streets below? The black boxes… those were destroyed… but the passport, somehow flies out of the guys pocket or bag and lands on the streets for the FBI to find.
The 9/11 commission report is full of contradictions. The testimony of Norman Mineta directly contradicts the final report, yet no explanation for these contradictions has ever been given (even popular mechanics stays away from this one). The book written by Richard Clarke also directly contradicts the 9/11 commission report.
Now, I don’t want to go into Flight 93 for long, but most non-9/11 truthers will even admit that this plane was shot down. Just look at the pictures of the crash site and you will see no evidence of an airplane. Just look with your own two eyes.
There were many unusual evacuations and power downs in the twin towers in the days and weeks leading up to 9/11.
If you think about the actions of the secret service that day. Bush was allowed to stay in a classroom full of kids while the attacks were taking place. Bush’s location was public knowledge that day and there was no reason to think that he couldn’t have been a target. They couldn’t protect the damn Pentagon, so they certainly wouldn’t have been able to prevent them crashing one of the planes into a school. He was giving a live televised speech after the second plane hit the towers, and minutes before the Pentagon was struck. There was an airport nearby, and the US Military still had no idea how many planes were hijacked and they were in no position to shoot them down. Given this information, the secret service would have taken the President out of the school, and taken him to a safe location. The reason they didn’t have to do this was because they knew he wasn’t in any danger. I still think that the secret service are good at their jobs and would have protected to President if it truly was a surprise attack.
In summary… there is a mountain of evidence, strange coincidences and unanswered questions that suggest that this had to have been an inside job. The notion that these attacks were carried out by 19 guys with box cutters is quite frankly ridiculous. I’ve spent hundreds, or maybe even thousands of hours looking into a lot of this stuff… so I guarantee you that there is nothing that anyone could say to convince me otherwise. It’s like a Keynesian economist trying to convince you that inflation is caused by economic growth, rather than an increase in the money supply. I’ve had debates with friends from high school who have now gone onto get fancy business or economics degrees, and they will argue with me that growth causes inflation and obviously there was nothing they could say to make me convinced of something I know with certainty to be false. I understand the point of view of blowback and government incompetence. I certainly agree that blowback exists. I agree that the government is inherently incompetent. However, after spending the time to look at the information, it is simply impossible to believe the official story.
