As mentioned in the video I think the key here is the belief that “the part of nature you transform and make valuable becomes yours”. The state lays claim to nature without transforming it into something of value. There are large tracts of land claimed by the government that are untransformed by anyone, much less the government. Transforming the land may be as simply as mowing my lawn (which is how private property beyond the walls of your house can be valid).
Also, as eluded to by others in this thread, if I build a house on a piece of land why do I still have to obey the government (who did not participate in any way to the transforming)? This presumes that if I transform a piece of nature the government still owns it, even though they haven’t touched it.
