I loved this.
I don’t even consider Chomsky-ites anarchist. They’re at best misguided marxist and at worst statist socialist hiding behind the label of "anarchist. All I know is that they can’t, for the most part, think for themselves, and make real anarchist look bad.
The Chomsky-ites are the real problem, anytime you question the great savior (Chomsky), they start harrassing you. I just got into an arguement with one and it basically ended in a death threat, now while this is uncommon, the majority of Chomskybots will not hesitate to insult, use profanity, tell you that you should have been aborted, or wish death on one of your loved ones, and to make matters worse, the majority of them are in their mid-twenties or older! Somebody should really help out by doing a critique on this guy, I mean I’ve never seen a man get so far with a Ph. D in linguistics! It’s pathetic!
Yes, and Chomsky himself is every bit as dismissive, derisive and arrogant as his stupid acolytes. He’s good in linguistics (big name there), but that is really about it.
It’s like that stupid right-left debate. There is a group that calls itself left, then labels everyone else vulgar, and constantly calls them right wingers (I can dig up more fallacious BS from BP’s videos to support this sort of strawmanning). Meanwhile these people on the so-called right couldn’t give a crap. They are writing books, and giving interviews. They are translating libertarian texts into multiple languages and republishing them. They are giving a free blog on a high traffic site to anyone who wants one. They aren’t scratching their nuts looking to pick a fight with people who are within a couple degrees of them ideologically.
That’s the point, the left has nothing. The “right” are successfully getting things done while the left can only really attempt to bring things down, from their blogs and Youtube videos of course. Don’t get me wrong, I want to be associated with these individuals as little as the want to be associated with the “monarchists”, but I won’t go out of my way to single them out, they’re wrong, just like anybody else.
I have read all kinds of crazy shit from left-libs about how Ron Paul is this, and Ron Paul is that. Well Ron Paul actually reaches people.
Didn’t you hear? Ron Paul is a neo - nazi.
True. And since humans are hierarchical animals, the anarchists can only remain true to their creed by calling for the permanent levelling of organic society. Just like their Marxist brothers-, excuse me, persons-in-arms.
Nonsense, the state invented the family, the church, hierarchy in general and atall property. Now we just need to figure out how the state managed to exist without hierarchy existing beforehand.
I haven’t been around here in awhile, but I noticed this thread via Google Analytics.
For now, my goal with AdSense is to raise enough money to pay for hosting. It appears that I will succeed with that. I’m later looking into other “profit from blog” ideas. I’m looking to start actual agorist free market businesses, rather than merely selling advertising for $0.003 per pageview.
I briefly experimented with FeedBurner and concluded it was awful. When I get my own domain, people would be able to view my blog 100% Google-free via RSS. In that case, the only tracking will be via my Apache server logs and any custom analytics tools I write. I’m still going to have AdSense and Google Analytics, at least initially.
The problem with discussing “anarcho-socialism” or “anarcho-communism” is that those words seem to be poorly defined. It’s better if you argue specific ideas.
“Property is theft!” That is obviously stupid.
“In the present, most property is stolen property.” This is different from “Private property is intrinsically evil.” Many people say “Property is theft!” when they really mean, “In the present, most property is stolen property.”
“Large corporations are not a natural free market occurrence.” Some people here may disagree strongly with that one. Without explicit and indirect State subsidies, large corporations are not profitable.
Most of these people are fring-ish kooks, and will always be so. There is a reason why AnCaps and so-called right libertarians or paleo libertarians are on TV, getting their books read, publishing, create scholarship. One has to be a successful entrepreneur to be successful in the market economy, and AnCaps by definition are the entrepreneurial branch of libertarianism…
…Take a good look around Mises.org. The YouTube Channel, the syndication of all site content. The growing and massive media library. Look at LewRockwell.com, and the ability to not only do podcasts, but attract notable and significant people to participate. It’s not a coincidence who is winning the battle of ideas, and who is promoting the next wave of intellectual scholarship and advancement of libertarian ideas. In fact, it’s not even close.
I would stay away from these kind of arguments due to the fact that Keynsians could greatly use it in their favor against us. If we have a full house, they have a royal flush.
