Any Austrian financial advisors?

Yes there is.

And they’re going to be isolated from the rest of US by the glass wall while doing so?

It’s not about isolation, it’s about economic feasibility. Americans might not be able to afford those cars for a while.

He’s not ignoring US companies because they’re bad (although he has said they are way overvalued), it’s also because he’s predicting a collapse of the dollar, consistent with Austrian ideas.

And I’d be interested in hearing about these supposed fallacies and why they are in conflict with Austrian views.

Especially considering that China’s currency is pegged to the US dollar (artificially devalued) and that 70%+ of the US GDP is based on consumption, and thus can’t make up for our lack of manufacturing at all.

That’s not the point. The factory will need complex infrastructure to support it so you can find your investment opportunities there.

Sure, but that doesn’t change the fact that the American economy needs to restructure, and that’s what Schiff calls decoupling.

Also, at present time the factory is probably overvalued. Correcting it’s value would probably also fall into the category of decoupling.

Has anyone read Doug Casey’s newsletters? He seems to be a popular “contratian” investor, especially on the subject of gold and mining options.
