Article/Book on origins of Glass-Steagall Act?

Howdy,

Recently, I came across a PDF on either Mises or LewRockwell that chronicled the enactment of the original Glass-Steagall Act and how it was driven by the Rockefellers as an attack on the Morgans. For the life of me I cannot find it now! Does anyone recall seeing this and if so, can you please post a link here?

Hi Scott. Is this it?

Alexander Tabarrok - Separation of Commercial and Investment Banking: The Morgans vs. The Rockefellers

Thanks Greg!! Man I googled like crazy and could NOT get that to turn up… Did you have it bookmarked or something?

Nah…searched on LewRockwell, and Lew had a blog with a reference to it. Searched Mises for the reference. I’m just lucky.

This was a great read, thanks guys.

If you enjoyed that, then you will really enjoy Rothbard’s History of Banking in the United States. It chronicles the rise of the Morgans and Rockefellers and their confrontations. VERY interesting read! It will alter the way you view our history and current events!
