If you mouse-over the WikiName, left of the Username entry, it says it needs to be two or more capitalized parts.

What about using The Mises Austrian Economics Wiki?
There we go! Tried my hand at a few things in the Sandbox.
Plus:
- Design is very lightweight up to minimalistic, I like that!
- Color scheme easy on the eye; could handle some gentle emphasis but that can be done.
Minus:
- Table of Contents does not seem to be nested (or is my syntax wrong?); inpractical creation, but that could be tolerated.
- References/Footnotes: cannot reuse footnotes in a document; cannot use internal links in them; do not appear in preview.
- WikiWords mean extra effort during linking.
Menus should be investigated if this will be used. The categories should be also tested. But so far it is less than impressive.
I think what killed the Mises.org wiki for me, was the lack of a help page.
It has its issues and it seems to lack a certain robustness (see comments of others), but no help page about the syntax of the wiki made clear, that it is an add-on to a larger piece of software, and is not intended to be used for anything more complicated; or at least it does not bother attracting and helping users - and that is what an undeveloped wiki badly needs. That was my reading at least.
Mediawiki is 40MB unpacked. WikkaWiki is 2.5MB unpacked.
Yes, it would be nice if we could simply use ====ChapterTitle==== instead of {{anchor name=“ChapterTitle” h3=“ChapterTitle”}} . But for a whole document that’s maybe 2 minutes more work, while writing and rewriting the actual text will take hours and hours.
Yes, some power user options don’t exist at this time. But all that doesn’t matter. If you’re trying to make a nested table of contents, reuse footnotes and things of that sort then you’re writing a technical document that is too long and too boring for the general public.
The strength of this Wiki application is that it looks stellar and is very usable. You need to know a few simple tricks (that I put in the Guidelines) and then you can make articles that look better than Mises Daily articles.
No easy formatting. I generally look down on Wyswyg formatting in wiki’s. Hard to link to other articles or other sites. No easy TOC per page. The tools seem limited. I’d like to add a Mythical Monopoly page but I’ve already been fighting the last hour fixing various wyswyg errors that happen when I try to make references. Oh yea no easy to way to reference…
It’s not really a wiki as it is a generic article publicator. It seems more blog like to me.
Im writing an article on monopoly. I decided to take my time with it though so it may not be done untill tomorrow or tuesday. I’ll post it here and at the Vforvoluntary page.
I will have to reconsider this. It’s not as much about the features as the philosophy of the page… seems to me like we want different things and they may not be compatible. There is place for a nested table of contents and way too many references in my grand vision. 
For now, I could use filc’s note as well (“It’s not really a wiki as it is a generic article publicator.”), but let’s see how it will develop. The articles are quite good, so it’s a good start. Even if we don’t end up working on one resource, we can and should use each other’s material.

We need one on government’s role during a depression more than anything else.
Conversely, we need a wiki article about the link between the free market and prosperity for the common man. I think we’re all sick of hearing about how great the welfare state is.
I created a topic ideas page.
There are quite a few notes on the events leading to the Great Depression here, and I’m researching some more on the Depression itself. Shouldn’t take more that a few weeks with my workload, so if anyone wants to go for it, feel free to take it apart for inspiration.

Cool, I tried to touch on a little of everything to be more of a FAQ type of layout. DiLorenzo seems to be spearheading the subject so I have some links to some of his material.
I had to update the section titled “What Economics is About”
Before we continue it’s important to note what economics is about. Economics is about meeting and servicing individual desires. An economy that does not produce things that are actually desired is a failure. Keynesian economists, and various socialists, seem to believe that arbitrary production creates wealth. This conceptual fallacy can most easily be refuted using the Broken Window Fallacy. Keynesian economists seem to overlook this fundamental point of economics. They seem to think that arbitrary human action will generate wealth. Austrian economists on the other hand recognize that an economy is nothing if it does not meet the demands of the individual. We believe that Human Action is purposeful. A market is nothing if it does not service the needs of the individual.
This is important to recognize this point before scrutinizing “Market Monopolies”.
It’s still lacking a siltation for the “Broken Window Fallacy”. I’ll update that later. If no one objects I’ll add my little article up on the mises FAQ. It would be nice if someone ran through it before I did so however…
