I would much rather you have the money than the government. You are far less likely to use it to kill, rob, torture, etc. someone. Besides, how much have they taken from you over the years?

The state always steals. If everyone always steals nothing gets produced. I see the stealing back, and I realize that the Govt. is probably going to buy a couple of overpriced hubcaps with money. Still the stealing gets me. I’ve compromised my character before. I almost didn’t get back. There is my dillema. LS is right. If I take it, I take it for myself and no one else.
Okay, still haven’t clicked submit. I’m clear on the Moral position, the logical position, et al.
The essay quoted in my signature poses many questions in this area. Anyone read it? Here, sorry IP makes it cost money.
I would like to hear what everyone thinks of that essay. It’s about 50 pages.

Your blood money, that you earned with your blood, sweat, and tears. Think of it as getting a portion of your tax dollars back. Don’t appear grateful for it, just growl and claw at them for not giving you more of the money they stole from you.
