Literature of the late Middle Ages were often illustrated with drawings in this fashion. The top of this one explains that this is a tree born in the Austrian philosophic garden. It is rooted in [purposeful] human action, logic, and private property. One half of the tree grows up into the main branches of the sciences of human action. The other half displays Austrian methodology. The banner apprises the traveler that he may enter and stroll through Mises’s philosophic garden and that he may promenade in the ethical garden of Rothbard. The towering figures, Aristotle and Aquinas, are eulogized and are given residency in the estate.
i took two years of latin and most of those words are beyond what I learned. that is unbelievably cool. it looks like it was made three hundred years ago or something. i think it would look so awesome as a book cover. what is the significance of the setup of “Aristotle’s Philosophic Building/Structure”?

04/17/10 Stockholm, Sweden – Unable to find a correct approach to financial regulation… because for regulation there rarely is… Congress is looking to regulate simply for the sake of doing something.
Unfortunately, combining additional, new regulation with even less strategic thinking is unlikely to diffuse the next financial meltdown.
