Morality sometimes has costs. People fought the Germans too.

But nobody is saying ‘how can we lose’. I’m more of ‘with this kind of argument, how can we win?’

Why? It is economically wasteful according to you since the monopoly of the public schools system must be efficient. Friedman’s position is also incorrect.

Look, it’s all about time preference. I am sure he believes that in the long run, the benefits outweigh the costs.

Of course the Chicago School loved that, since their mantra is that everything that exists is efficient. About seven or eight years later, Rubin published another article in the same journal in which he said he was wrong. He said the common law is not efficient because it has been corrupted by lawyers and politicians. The tobacco settlement is exhibit A.

In politics, Government is stable because it uses violence and coercion to force people to obey but anarchist businessmen, for ethical reason, hesitate to so the same when the public still commonly believe that “Government is doing good for us” and “Democracy is holy”.

In economy, if all businessmen refuse to pay their taxes and instead finance a private military company to overthrow the government, it will certainly defeats the government since the former will have lots of resources and the latter becomes very poor. The government can pay its army by selling natural resources for some time, but businessmen may also make a loan and promise to repay by selling the same resources after they occupy the land.

Unless a foreign country is granting the government money to support its existence, businessmen always have the power to change the world to free market anarchism if they don’t care being blamed by leftists, just they don’t realise their own power.
