@spideyw: you do have a point using the word intuition, to me Keynesianism is more appealing to people and governments because it involves action, Austrian school suggests that governemnt does nothing, People think: “How the hell are we going to get out of the crises by doing nothing???”
I ve checked the textbook i used for the GCE and it mentions Austrian school 2 times, about business cycles, about competition, monopolies and creative destruction, Ludwig Von Mises is mentioned 0 times.
Keynesian involves coercive action through a State monopoly. Yet where the human action is, is in the free market not by some coercive entity/education that doesn’t pan out in the free market, in other words, Keynesian is forced onto everybody instead. Nobody could actually go for it voluntarily cause Keynesian isn’t about voluntary action in the first place.
