Human Action Comics by Lilburne

What are the books / sources / things you have read that have helped make the comic books?

I have a few ideas. [:)]

Just going to add some more praise

Issue no. 5 was as good as the rest. I want more though!

Not sure who I know that would be interested in it though. All the people I want to convince of AE are here at university and would probably see it as beneath them.

Then it should be extremely easy to refute. And they should give it a shot. [;)]

It’s mostly based on Man, Economy, State, and secondarily on Human Action.

Issue #3 largely drew on Menger’s Principles.

And of course I draw from whatever sources I quote.

Pray tell!

Thanks! I’ll probably be working on adding more slides to the first 5 issues before I make #6. I want them to be thorough, and right now I haven’t even mentioned such important concepts as Scarcity, Opportunity Cost, Economizing, Complimentary Goods, or the Law of Returns.

Ha, thanks - I guess I wasn’t clear enough. I meant about the design, method of creating a comic book. You mentioned one earlier I believe.

That has been helpful, i.e suggesting the size of characters, and other techniques to get the message across.

Hehe, well I have 2 other projects I’m working on. But in terms of comics, and anyone / by ALL means go ahead and do it because it will be awehile before I get to it. But I was thinking something should be done about Praxeology. Difference between natural sciences and social sciences. Methodology etc.
Just an idea atm. [:)]

Oh, that was Making Comics by Scott McCloud.

Ah, yes, a future Human Action Comics issue will definitely cover methodology. Of course it’d be GREAT to see a Conza iteration, too. [:D]

Are there any others? I guess I’ll have to take a look, or is that all that is really necessary.

Sweeet.. can’t wait for yours! [:)]

Well, there’s also Irwin Schiff’s How and Economy Grows…" and the terribly leftist “Cartoon History of the Univere” by Larry Gonick…

Oh, and I meant to say “Understanding Comics”, McCloud’s first one. “Making…” is his most recent project, which I haven’t read.

Thanks Daniel for editing my narrated version of Issue #3 and making it legible!

I love watching it in high definition! Let me know when you have #4 ready.

And the Kingdom of Moltz…

By the way, add the Broken Window Fallacy… / seen and unseen to your future issues list. [:p]

In my own hamhanded way, I am trying to construct flash animations of Economics In one Lesson, using a cartoon ‘powerpuffgirls’ like style. I’m currently storyboarding Episode One, the Broken Window… the Ameoba Boys chuck a brick through a persons window, a crowd gather and start talking nonsense. the mayor calls for The Bastiat Girls, who use their X-vision to ‘see the unseen’ and talk sense to the citizens of townsville. and again the day is saved

Brilliant!

it may take weeks to do at this rate… but i’ll keep all you posted.

I thought about doing something like that too. But with The Simpsons, or Family Guy, or Batman, or something… Pokemon? I don’t know what cartoon is popular nowadays. Are you going to have audio like Lilburne?

Updated: Human Action Comics #1… Now Infused With Scarcity!

Was talking to the young lady really Crusoe’s end? Wouldn’t that have just been a means? [;)]

lol [:D]

Quality additions!

Aiight. You can block ads in facebook with firefox addon=adblock plus. Or you can download stylish on the firefox addon site, and then look for the sponser block style.. or whatever it is. I do that.. but then, I am a facebook addict…

I had the day off for Veteran’s Day, so I used it to compose a new issue. [:)]
