Okay, hasn’t the site been down for you for much of the the last few months? I kept getting this page called “cloud flare” or something like that, saying that the site was down and that they didn’t have a backup of the “old community” and to go use the “new community” which I don’t like as much 
You guys didn’t get that?
That happens sometimes but, definitely not enough to not use the forum…or to be forced to use whatever you’d call that “new community”. Have a look at the history here…it’s been pretty active…every day.
Anytime the cloudflare thing comes up you can usually click a “try the live version” link toward the bottom and it usually refreshes properly. But it’s possible you had a few of the url’s cached, which threw off your attempts to visit the site. Always be sure to clear your cache and even cookies periodically.
