Intelligent ETs Build Spacecraft Without Government?

“Hang on, guys. I’ve got this one.”

i actually believe there are intelligent beings out there who do not live under a government as we know it…but know how to live under true freedom and peacefully…

I just like the idea of libertarians talking about UFOs…

out of all the political parties…it makes the most sense to have them discuss it…since in my mind, aliens live freely…not under a big government…

even crazier still…I’m hoping at some point in the future, they can intervene here and show us how to do the same…

Aviation regulations require that all passenger aircraft be certified by the government which can take years and costs money. Also, pilots must be certified, and require special certification for space flight.

I can go more in depth with links if you want, but it’s not really a secret that aviation is heavily controlled by the government, nor that regulation hampers market forces.

If the Roswell/San Augustin actually happened it was a single accident and not a flap.

There’s certainly nothing wrong with believing there are aliens, or that for some reason you believe it makes the most sense for libertarians to discuss UFOs. While I don’t see the connection, it doesn’t change that you are entitled to your opinion on that. But it is just an opinion. Tomorrow we could see a horde of alien invaders rain hellfire upon us and enslave us all. Or they could do as you say and come here and try to show us how it’s done. Since that suggestion puts your opinion into an area for ideological discussion, I can actually make comment on that. While we can assume a greater knowledge on the part of space-faring do-gooders for the sake of argument, it does not change the way humans think. While it is plausible that people might listen to the aliens because, hey, look, they’re smarter than us and maybe they know what they are talking about, it is just as likely that the same people ignoring sound economics today will ignore that of any alien visitor, for the same reasons as before. What case for freedom in the market would aliens make that hasn’t been made already? And any case they can make that we are incapable of coming up with is likely not to be understood properly anyway, pending arduous teaching by said visitors. You still have the problem of not being able to put sense in a fool’s brain.

“You still have the problem of not being able to put sense in a fool’s brain.”

Good points made.

However, if intelligent being visit this planet; more than likely there are other places in this galaxy where people can live.

People could simply start leaving this planet and live elsewhere. Sort of like the Great West. Only difference is, I doubt government will be able to tax the people that leave.

If many many people start leaving, the government will fall apart.

Even before that has to happen, though, if these intelligent beings have lasers that can go through tens if not hundreds of feet of earth and disable nuclear weapons (based on testimony from military personel)

if they have craft that can zip around and stop on a dime and travel from who knows how far away

and if they have been visiting this planet for thousands of years (watch ancient aliens series on the history channel…actually had truth in it and testimony from respected UFO researchers)

chances are they could easily video throughout time all of the wrong doings are government officials have done and cause a loss of confidence in them overnight, which more than likely would cause the government to fall apart or get desperate andtry to impose marshall law.

Either way, I’m sure they could easily expose government for what it is.

Imagine that they find 100,000,000,000,000 barrels of sweet crude on Mars. You don’t think Exxon is going to find a way to get that to Earth?

“You don’t think Exxon is going to find a way to get that to Earth?”

Would Exxon exist without government intervention?
