Ayn Rand is the best. I make it a point to read one of her books whenever I have time. Her fiction is the best and her economics and politics are truly clear and amazing. However I don’t like her followers so much. They’re too bizarre for me which is why I am an ex-Objectivist now as I am sure many of us here are.
There are actually different groups of her followers. The orthodox ones you would probably not like (they seem centered around the Ayn Rand Institute, Leonard Peikopf, et al). A lot of them are on Objectivist sites like SOLO Passion.
Some followers you would probably like to deal with are more aligned with the Atlas Society, David Kelley, and online sites like Objectivist Living. The Brandens hang out with this later group, which should tell you something…
