Moneylending had nothing to do with Jesus driving the moneychangers out of the temple. The temple is sacred. Moneychanging defiled the temple as to its purpose. The temple did not exist for this purpose. It was not a bank but a place of worship and of ceremony. That is why Jesus drove the moneychangers out of the temple. I doubt Jesus was as concerned with economic matters (Render Unto Caesar that which belongs to Caesar) as much as he was concerned with spiritual matters (and Unto God the things that belong to God.)
