I have no other place for this short rant, so…
Anyone ever notice how we’re encouraged to use excess verbiage from middleschool to college via page requirements; yet saying what you want to say in the least amount of words possible is one of the most important aspects of clear writing? My writing is always seen as “wordy” by my professors, so I’m conveniantly blaming this on the public schooling system. Gosh I love being a libertarian.
Exactly! Words limit always drives me crazy. I can’t say that my writing is labeled as “wordy” because I do everything possible to shorten a paper. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about my speech… I wish I could express my thoughts more concise.
