I’d like to know bloomj31’s views on Ron Paul’s foreign policy. Ron Paul has been called anti-semetic for his stance, I want to know if bloomj31 feels the same way.
I mean he’s principled in his non entanglement thing and I understand that but it’s one of the reasons I’d hesitate to vote for him even though I tend to agree with him about everything else.

Does it matter? There are more Jews in New York than anywhere else. Might as well change it to Jew York and make it the new Israel. Where you are at has no real meaning. You’re a nationalist (and I’m not sure you agree or realize that), but you expect others to defend your ethnicity abroad. What about the German descendents during WWI and WWII, did they push the US government to run to help their people in war? No.
What are we going to protected by then? You need to address whether the “we” is this country and government, or one you have no real physical affiliation with half way around the world that a majority of people in this country have never been to or have no affiliation with.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand. Preemptively attacking nations is not self-defense, by definition. Attacking nations which attack other nations is not self-defense either. Sacrificing the lives of Americans, resorting to inflation, and taxation, in order to defend a country you’re emotionally attached to is not consistent with minarchy. You need to do some soul-searching (though you probably don’t believe in a soul).
