confused Month old threads?
Peter Schiff stuff from last December. I assume you were trying to find some smoking gun to validate your claim that I am a negative prick a lot of the time. Or were you avoiding substantiating that charge and doing other research instead?
Still waiting for proof or an apology.
Watching my forum activity? Wow. Insecure much?
Sorry if the forum log looks like I spent a long time on a response, but I started to reply and the dog started barking so I went to investigate and walked through a room with American Pie on Comedy Central and I sat to watch the webcam scene. You’ll have to forgive me if your spying got a little boring.
I had pulled up the Peter Schiff threads last week while looking into trade deficit discussions. I noticed there was a lot of back and forth with you and smiling dave and through my glancing through it did look a bit like there was some of that attitude there. I didn’t read all the way through them at the time though, and since you brought it up now and asked specifically for one single example, I figured I’d just pull up those threads again and have a closer look for you. But apparently there is a statute of limitations I was unaware of, so you’ll have to excuse me.
So I’ll just give a generic overall assessment. It’s the way you toy with people with your “there is no such thing as a citizen” thing and the like. I’m not saying prick in the “call you four-eyes and take your lunch money” sense, it’s more like an elitist attitude expressed through passive condescension. It doesn’t seem like you’re interested in pulling anyone “deeper toward your message”. It seems more like you’re interested in arguing and telling (or implying) how intellectually lightweight other people are.
Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s how you come off sometimes.
The statements was claimed: " I don’t think that’s an issue. Let people believe what they want. He’s not gonna win, why argue with folks about it? Just show your support." Me asking," support him how?" Is a reasonable question to ask. But seriously, you do not know me, so to automtically assume this :You weren’t looking for an answer to that question. You were looking for something else to attack, is frankly ridculous…
I dont know, maybe you can better explain, since you accuse me on shitting on the ideas I am against… Let me go eat Chipotle first, then I can do some serious damage against the ideas I am against!
Not really, no… That is why it is best not to assume about people that you do not know… like my mother always says: ‘to assume is to make an ass out of you and me.’
on a side note, I do support Ron Paul, just not by voting for him or giving my money towards his campaign. If you look at my posting history, you can see that I post some Paul videos. And I have also set up seminars which expressed libertarian ideals at my school(ut-dallas), which Ron Paul did attend to one when he was in Dallas last year.

Great. So remind me again why you asked how to support him?
because I wanted to hear his position on what he meant by supporting him…
Hooray for Ron Paul. Sorry but I won’t get sucked into this campaign like I did last time. I gave like 500 bones during the money drive and stayed up a whole day watching the meters and listening to the RP radio podcast. It was a weird time for me.
Name one popular idea that is positive and was popularized by being nice and respectful.
Who are you talking to?
Anyone who cares to take up the challenge of answering. I haven’t been able to think of any examples. a post on the last page made me think of it.
You’re wrong, and you did nothing to substantiate your allegations. Showed your true colours today JJ.

What are you getting on about? Besides there is a libertarian cop out answer to this - that is, it is all subjective stuff that can’t be answered
Anyway,
here is a Harry Browne article on the LP (so just convert that to RP anymore) as a useful educational tool:
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig/browne8.html
I am pretty sure there was a Rothbard and Ron Paul article that stated about the same thing - couldn’t find them on a quick LRC search I’ll look again if someone wants me to try and dig around for them.
More of a side note. Whats with all of the emotional outlashing directed at LS? Been going on for months.
How is that a cop out? It is either true or it is not.
I meant the word cop out as a joke. C’est vrai, but I got the feeling it was an answer he wouldn’t be satisfied with, hence why I used the word.
People don’t want to hear blunt truths and will respond ruthlessly when confronted with something they do not want to accept.
Personal attacks are a defense mechanism for ignorance.
I might say the same thing about you.
Yet another thread thrown off the rails by getting into a pissing match with libertystudent…
“I don’t know why libertarians think that Ron Paul for president is a good thing, exactly what good can he do?”
I’d much rather bitch about the things President Paul is doing vs anyone else.
Chances are, I won’t be bitching about how there are more checkpoints everywhere.
