I, personally have no problem with Steaua. I am just saying that almost nobody in Asia cares about watching them. BUT I think that clubs like Steaua and all the other clubs that dominant their respective countries in the South and Eastern Europe should team up and form their own league. That I would love to watch week in week out. (Steau, Olympiakos, Sparta Praha, CSKA Moscow, etc) But the Romania 1st division? I think I’ll pass.
It is interesting that you mention this because I feel the same way. I enjoy watching the skill and athleticism of sports but I am apathetic towards rooting for a particular team, whether it’s the US team in the Olympics or my local NFL team. I’d rather see a good hard fought game than see a certain team win. Perhaps this is the main reason why libertarianism is so difficult to employ in reality. The herding behavior and the need to associate within a certain group will always make people identify with a certain ideology no matter what. Politics is really a media driven sporting event and elections are the super bowl.
