Hint : Criminals who claim to have good intentions still are … criminals. What you or they think, or claim to think, about their criminal actions is mostly irrelevant.
Even though they commit extortion and enslavement, for the most part, I would guess most think that what they are doing is legitimate, as such, Giles’ assertion stands that they are not necessarily evil or bad if they think what they are doing is legitimate. Of course most criminals that commit victimizing crimes, in their heads, probably think whatever it is they did was justified.
