I already agree with 1. The problem with 2, aside from what you mean being professionally defined as “sociopathy” rather than “psychopathy”, is that defining everyone as the same is no use. It’s a reduction continuum problem, like saying that everything is just energy and so there is no need to have any theory except that the universe exists. Some people are more x than others.
Of course, if you define psychopathy as “everyting which is unlibertarian”, then psychopathy would fit unlibertarian moves perfectly, by definition. Any X, defined as Y, fits Y perfectly, by definition.
Actually what I am getting at is something closer. Obviously people are not psychopaths. But what’s the “economical” differences?
What I am saying is that presuming people to be psychopaths would correctly predict their behavior.
In indonesia, for example, there is a group of muslim defender that want to promote morality. He sued somebody for pornography (the magazine doesn’t even contain nudity). Then that guy demand that his victim treat him. So they asked money for hajj (actually spent on something else). They asked to hang out in hotel. Then they asked for a white girl to have sex with them. And after that they sue the victim anyway. This people is known to use violent to promote islamic value by the way.
Or take a look at Osama bin Laden, for example. US troops found porn in his stash.
Many are actually surprised. Many would think, what? This guy want to defend morality and they do this? How can they reconcile what they do and what they say?
I am not surprised. I presume everyone is psychopath and that’s what I expect most humans would do.
Now we see government prohibiting ganja. Then there is a scientific evidence that ganja is actually save. Surprised? Not me. From the beginning, by presuming humans are power hungry psychopaths I already know that there is nothing wrong with ganja. It’s just voters and politicians wanting more power.
The same way with anti prostitution laws, anti women trafficking laws. I bet many are actually consensual. Also proofing consent is not that tough. It’s not even ambiguous. But then again humans are psychopaths that want to get rid competitors.
I am also not surprised when I hear about genocide against the rich, etc. It’s what I expect. So far, all my expectation about humans are correct.
Feminazis may claim, no, we actually care about the fate of women that are objectified, bla bla. Would psychopaths do that? No. I don’t expect any normal humans would either. Come the fuck on? Utter BS.
