Would You Support Ron Paul in 2012?

Imposing your will isn’t the problem… self defense is an ‘imposition of will’.

I agree with you on that one, Sieben. I guess I was trying to make the case from a libertarian’s point of view that they prefer to not participate in voting. I probably will (whenever I get registered) register with the Libertarian Party. I don’t really plan on being active in politics, but like I said if Paul does run, I would be more than happy to participate in his campaign (and vote!).

If Ron Paul runs then I would donate money and promote his campaign but I don’t expect him to win nor would I like him to win. Ron Paul holds the world record in libertarian conversion and that’s what he’s good for, not being president. Ron Paul becoming president in 2012 would be the worst thing that could happen to the libertarian movement.

First, the economy will be in shambles and the media will blame it on Dr. Paul. The idea that the empire is salvageable is a sick joke.

Second, president means nothing. Too many special interests and the rest of the government are still puppets.

Third, the idea that having a federal government having jurisdiction over territory as large as the United States is completely insane and stupid and anarchists on this site should know better. Decentralization, Nullification, Secession is the key.

Note that none of the arguments presented above are arguments against the Campaign for Liberty.

yeah so, maybe im just being shallow but everyone else voting really lames it up for me. The “Vote its your duty” nonsense is somewhere between statist propoganda and your parents checking out girls with you. Maybe I can suck it up and vote next election if ron paul makes a big enough dent… gahhhh
