Hello like-minded individuals, my name is Marcus. I am a 21 year old business transfer student at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie NY. I enjoy learning about the Austrian School and/or being with friends or family in my spare time. Academically, I still have not decided whether or not business is a suitable major for me after I transfer, I am now debating economics or history (especially the latter after reading Tom Woods.)

I joined the political arena when Ron Paul jump-started his campaign for the Republican Primaries and after becoming affiliated with his views and way of thinking; I knew that being a libertarian was just the path I wanted to follow. I had always been a fiscal conservative and loved the idea of deep tax cuts and low deficits (possibly even a balanced budget) but had always sided with liberals on social issues (gay marriage and abortion) and foreign policy. Before Dr. Paul, I found it difficult to vote for either party (although he is pro-life I find this a very minor discrepancy in our way of thought).

I joined Mises.org to engage in conversation with like-minded friends, considering that all I ever do in New York is debate and argue my points I figured this would be a relief. So I hope to hear from you and ill be sure to give feedback to you as well.
