As a systems architect for computer software systems, I constantly found myself in a position requiring me to seek authorization from some third party. In most cases they would have some type of system in place which required compliance with a particular protocol or standard. Most of the time they simply wanted money.
I could not figure out why I couldn’t just do some things for myself. The more I dug, the more obstacles appeared. The more questions were left unanswered. Like peeling an onion each layer hid an underlying truth. Eventually, through sheer persistence and devotion to understanding the control mechanism; at its core, I eventually ended up here.
