A brief history of U.S. intervention in Middle East (video)

Great video, thanks! By the way, have you watched a documentary “No end in sight” about the war in Iraq? I

Very nice! They should have drawn out the ending a bit. Spliced in video of "your cause is right. God is on your side" and “the price is worth it”. Maybe mention US support for Israel vs Palestine.

It’s a very powerful video. This whole middle east debacle is kind of a hegelian dialectic on crack. The US government attacks the middle east, middle easterners get mad at Americans in general and attack them, Americans get scared and give their government more power and the mandate to attack the middle east…

Powerful video. It’s all sad really. The lives of countless, otherwise peaceful people ruined for generations, an entire region subject to the whims and political games of powerful governments and armies beyond anyone’s control really.

I can understand why people think the world is going to end. I wonder if generations down the line will be able reverse the direction of the whole situation. It seems like a chess game that literally never ends.

It doesn’t end. It’s been going on literally for centuries. The only reason people think it’s the world that’s ending is because the average person’s memory for things outside their personal life is less than 2 years. And their historical knowledge is even worse than that.

Bravo.

No I haven’t seen that, but that title sounds familiar. I’m going to see if I can find it. My doc list is a mile long.
