First of all, I will start out that Governor Charlie Crist of Florida is certainly no libertarian, by NO stretch of the imagination. If anything, he has general been a populist over his political career.
But out of the blue, he does THIS:

He issues a proclamation declaring Home Education week and actually promotes home school.
There is an irony here. A known statist politician endorsing home school. An institution, that if engaged in by lots more parents, would result in the weakening and fall of the state.
Nothing major, of course, but thought I should at least mark this odd occurence on this forum.
