A Refutation of the Fact/Value Dichotomy

A Summary Critique of The Fact/Value Dichotomy by Robert Harris.

Positivism’s claim that “only statements of observable facts have meaning” was a
claim not subject to observation and thus, by its own definition, the claim had no
meaning.

In other words, the argument for the fact/value dichotomy is a self-refuting and contradicting argument.

The refutation of the fact/value dichotomy is essentially a confirmation of natural law, rights, and justice, since all of these are derived from fact.

I also think Rasmussen and Uyl deal with it in one of their books, I’m not sure though I heard Jon or Geoffrey mention it I think. I’ve not read the books although I intend on doing so soon.
