Though Libertarian Papers offers an awesome, expedited way to publish without space limits and mieses.org offers working papers and other scholarly outlets there is still a lag between the ruff drafts and such publications. During the lag period many personal projects become forgotten about simply because they can’t get any feedback or proofs. The libertarian forms offer great outlets for discussion but is not a place to post ill-proofed multi-page papers.
Does anyone think a website for ruff draft publication would be of demand?
Yes, but even the working papers section must pass through an editorial board and be fine tuned before being published. These polished papers are great for the scholarly community but still lack immediate publishing/feedback. I would gladly shift through unpolished papers if I could still get at the meat of their thesis, I could still offer feedback and debate the paper even if it lacked grammatical correctness.
I submitted a rejoinder a six week back titled “no compromise” that I hope will be published through libertarian papers soon, but before I could submit the final copy I had to go through two editors over a span of about 30 days. More than anything I just want feedback from the academic community, I hate that I must wait so long for such feedback–even though a few months is not a long time compared to other journals.
