People have pointed out that the Prize Committee gave him the prize after he was president for 12 days.
Which leads to the q, what did he do in his first 12 days to get himself a prize?
It occurs to me that what he did was get himself elected. And what’s special about that, is that he is the first black president. That’s what he got the prize for, for being the first black president.
it can be argued perhaps that having a black prez does in some way further peace and human equality, or at least shows that the people of the USA have reached some kind of milestone in that regard.
Of course, maybe the prize should go to the people of the USA for electing him.
Racial barriers have been slowley falling for a long time so I don’t think that it shows any kind of peace to be worthy of a global award and its unjust to award a single person with that award as there was little actual work on the part of Obama as opposed to all of society. But at any rate this is the only reason I’ve heard so far that appears even mildly sane so… maybe?
But obama took the trouble not to listen to rap music, do drugs and instead worked on speaking like a white guy and being as politically moderate as possible.
LOL I’ll gladly take the other half. I don’t do drugs or listen to rap music either.

From what I remember about his campaign and presidency, Bill Clinton was touted as the first president who related to minorities, especially blacks. This is in comparison to George Bush I, who was the WASP’s candidate. Thus, the joke became that Bill Clinton was the first black president.
