So I was reading a Post-Keynesian article written by a close friend of my professor and in it is this little nonsensical gem: “King suggests similarity between Post Keynesians and other ‘deviants’ such as Austrians in the use of the word uncertainty. The Austrians, however, mean epistemological uncertainty while the Post Keynesians mean ontological uncertainty. For the Austrians, the market is dues ex machina that, via social Darwinism, solves the problem of uncertainty."
Now, I haven’t really touched the Austrian position on uncertainty yet (focused most of my attention towards monetary/capital theory). But I know Kirzner, Rothbard, and Mises most definitely did not hold this position and spent a great deal of time explaining the role of the entrepreneur. So, I want to email my professor, but need some quotes and some general information regarding price formation, the entrepreneur, and the role of uncertainty. Any help would be great.
