I’ve been following Austrian theories for 4 years now and hence am not entirely new to free market economics. However, seeing that my country, Switzerland, is more and more getting under pressure from the American and EUSSR states and thereby loosing its freedom, I decided to join this forum now to build up some political intellectual capabilities.

That is actually something I haven’t touched upon, I’ve been meaning to get a book from Hoppe since he is often mentioned..

am I jumping to conclusions assuming you are from St. Gallen? I worked in Zurich for a couple of years, and believe me, Switzerland is behind EUSSR in terms of becoming a socialist state - you still have your decentralized government and more or less private healthcare.
Still, I found it quite surprising that a lot of the Swiss believe in left (and especially green) ideas. Many people said that air conditioning should be banned, as well as groceries working on Sundays and/or after business hours. Protectionism is also quite strong.

Well, my wife is from St. Gallen. From Walensee to be precise. You’re right, we’re much more free than the EUSSR. I have lived in London for nearly four years, and trust me, I know what socialism and police state surveillance mean.
What you can observe in Swiss politics is an increasing gap between the party programs. Whereas the Socialist Party has called for “an overcoming of capitalism”, the Swiss People’s Party is pushing for lower taxes and more local political power - even for sound money. The centre parties however, trapped in their favour of the EUSSR, political correctness and the will to appeal to everyone, are continuously loosing ground.
Hey! I just saw the results of today’s referedum. The socialist/green anti-firearms initiative is rejected!!!
