It was written by Richard Wiggins and he essentially claimed that gold is the ultimate fiat currency (??). He also didn’t hesistate to take a jab at the “fun starved” Austrian school of economics and completely mis-state ABCT and make himself look a fool. He also claimed that gold is a gigantic bubble that will end in tears… Has anyone else read this article? It was probably the worst half-baked attack on gold aside from Ardends that I’ve seen in a while.
Barron’s writers indisputibly prefer the business monopolies set up by the government. They’re a biased source if you’re looking for objective financial news. I’ve read articles favoring and/or fallaciously and anecdotally referring to Keynes’ philosophical musings rather than his actual theory, which wasn’t a whole lot for substance anyways.
