The only trains I know about are the government controlled Amtrak trains. Are there any private trains running in the US?
To my knowledge, there aren’t, and there probably won’t be without state-assistance.
No entrepreneur can compete in the long run with subsidized/taxpayer funded methods of transit (streets, public transit) unless they want start a charity.
