I had always wondered why Calvin Coolidge appears to have never thought about trying to repeal the Federal Reserve. He had seen that things were about to crash, IIRC.
Also, why didn’t Cleveland push for a repeal of the National Banking Act and a return back to Free Banking that we had from Van Buren to Buchanan? Wasn’t his party in power during one of his terms?
There may not be definite answers, but I thought maybe someone could offer an explanation.
