I heard WB say something super extreme on Canadian radio, and I have been dying to post about it. He’s awesome. I know you aren’t the biggest fan, but he doesn’t pull many punches. Him and Hoppe. Not perfect (no one is), but great anti-statists and radicals.
Which one? I listened to the one about conservatism.

Ran into Daniel on this forum and we had a fun chat about human vs. animal rights, thin/thick libertarianism.
Didn’t run into Lilburne…wtf mate?
DiLorenzo gave a lecture similar to his “80 years of parallel” of Great Depression vs Current Depression. Nothing exciting but nothing bad
Doug French had a good techincal lecture
Walter Block used the term ‘niggardly’ to characterize Obama.
Robert Murphy had a humor ridden lecture which he made funny comments.
Overall it was a really good event though Lew Rockwell didn’t speak for some reason…

I got Block’s signature [ though I gave him a copy of Lew Rockwell’s book and he looked at the spine and ask me why I wanted him to sign it…hey I wanted everyone’s signature and I can’t buy everyone’s book] and I also got DiLorenzo’s.

Ran into Laughing Man before the event, and Lilburne afterwards. Both great guys.
I got Dr. Block, Dr. DiLorenzo, Dr. Murhpy, and Mr. French to my sign my copy of Rothbard’s The Case Against the Fed.
Every attendee got a free book.
Got to converse with all speakers minus Mr. French.
There was some guy wearing a fishnet shirt and pirate pants.

Dr. Murphy got “told” by Dr. DiLorenzo
Mr. Rockwell didn’t show upbecause he was sick.

Laughing Man, I looked for a “big goofy guy” like you said, but couldn’t find one.
And Laughing Man, I guess the universe kept us apart for the sake of its own survival.
In a question for Dr. Block, some guy had the nerve to call Austrian economics a religion, because it “didn’t study the real world” like empirical sciences do. Block’s response was good. But DiLorenzo was much more aggressive when he took it upon himself to also respond before beginning his speech.
At my table, I brought my mission to be a serpent in the objective ethics Garden of Eden into the real world, by briefly debating with three fans of argumentation ethics. All 6 of the people at my table were really cool, and we’re actually going to try to start a study group in October.
Yea…what was that all about? Some desperate attempt to say ‘look at me!’
I had my black fleur de lis shirt on. I also had my brown shoulder bag that was stuff with books.
Argumentation ethics is done deal in my mind. Highly refuted. By the way, our table was extremely boring. Two guys talking about healthcare reform…yippe…the other guys didn’t say anything.
