My understanding is that it is drivel. Couldn’t stand more than minute.

From what I gathered from the info and comments; it is Harvard’s A team debating Berkeley’s B team over whether the capitalism will destroy the world. Tho, the capitalism they are talking about is the one every one else outside of LvMI talks about; corporatism, it would seem to me.
Those style “debates” are always weird to me. The answers just seem so pre-fabricated and rigid. It is less like a conversation, and more like dueling talking-points. Tho, maybe a bit better than the “everything that isnt a fallacy is an ad hominem” style that some people use.
The speaking was… unique… never thought anyone would purposely talk like that.
On the subject- it was standard “Hahvahd” BS. and no- not a bachelors of science. It was though interesting- reminds me not to join my school’s debate team- so this was informative in a way.
On the uncommon words- Google has no records of “togosan” arguments- so that is “debate speak” (I’ll call it that- anyone know what it is, I’d like to know)

I was not specting that. Why do they do that?
It was rather confusing, for instance how does an ontology value go to 0 and how does that prove or disprove anything?
I’m guessing, based on them looking at some ?electronic? device that they have, say 20seconds per side, and they wnat to put out as much info as possible in that 20 seconds, or whatever time limit they have- i know the debates my high school had done were typically timed (and informationally useless or biased toward one side)

At a college debate between U. of Pittsburgh and Fort Hays State University, the rhetoric escalates, and it’s the Professors who are out of control.
Too slow for me. Couldn’t follow. I’m heavily into turbo-compressed double-zipped 1sec rebuttals and win all my debates by: “beeeeeeeeep! Got it?”. Hands down.
