Who was this person? What kind of work did she do with the Mises Institute? Was she formally employed by the Mises Institute? Is she still alive? Has she written any major works?
I keep running across her name in the credits to a lot of things here, and from what I can tell, it just seems like she was a really good secretary?
Bettina Bien Greaves attended Ludwig von Mises’s New York University seminar, compiled Mises: An Annotated Bibliography, and also edited several collections of articles. She is a senior scholar of the Ludwig von Mises Institute and works at the Foundation for Economic Education. Here is a 1998 picture and interview of her.
She always pretends as if she is a mere secretary. It is ridiculous. She is a serious intellectual in her own right, a great hero who dedicated her entire life to being a kind of servant of Misesian ideas. Extraordinary woman.
