Don’t know enough about it to have a “real” opinion. But I liked the sentence, reminds me of a lot of mainstream economists.

The BB theory only regards what happened after the explosion started. it doesn’t say there was nothing to begin with. It’s maybe even pointless speaking of what was “before” the BB, if it was an explosion of time and space itself.
Wow, I’ve been a socialist too, I wonder how many free market libertarians or anarchocapitalists were formally socialists, and maybe there is a correlation? Besides the fact that it’s also very ironic.
I think I am like a lot of socialists that thought socialism is about justice and freedom only to find out that it is about the opposite.
So maybe that corelates with most of us
I wonder how many ancaps/libertarians have become socialists. Maybe approximately the same number as former biologists who have become creationists.
I’ve never heard of a conservative turning libertarian. I’ve also never heard of an an-cap turning socialist.
When I was much younger I thought I was conservative, but that was mostly because I had no idea what being a conservative was. It was before I exposed myself to things like Ayn Rand, Orwell, and ultimately Hazlitt, Mises, Rothbard, ect…

It never occurred to me that other people might’ve shared this experience. I called myself a “libertarian socialist” at one point, before I realized what an enormously disgusting contradiction in terms that was. Maybe we should focus on converting socialists instead of social democrats (the latter seeming to entirely disregard any kind of logic).
I always thought of conservatives and liberals as follows. I’d like to get some input from this, I think it would make a good T-Shirt.

Conservatives - A group of people that at the very least have some moral premise from which to act a foundation of all their beleifs on. The problem isthat ideological premise is fundamentally condradictory in itself. But at the very least they have one. They can be held to have a descent level of discussion up untill the topic of national security is brought up, at which time all their conservative beleifs are flushed down the toilet.

Moder Liberals - This is a confused bunch that has no underlying consistent moral prermise from which derive their decision making process from. Their view points change on a whim and can be in complete opposition with other viewpoints they have. They conveniently cherry pick their topics with whatever coalligns with their bleeding heart. Their positions typically seem made at random. Some positions contridict others and all of those positions and beleifs are subject to change at a seconds notice. Since they have no moral framework from which to base their decision making process on they are usually incapable of holding an intellectual debate defending their view point, instead they resort to petty name calling and weak verbal attacks to defend their points of view.
I really can’t say anything good about conservatives versus liberals or vice-versa. I think both are deplorable in their own way. For instance, to use your description, I don’t think having a contradictory morality is any better than having no specific morality at all (regardless of whether it’s true for these groups of people).
Where else am I going to find non-Muslims defending the right of Muslim women to wear (or not to wear) whatever the heck she wants. Its just such a rare occurrence.
You’ll find plenty of muslims doing it (myself included). Everyone has a choice in following a religion, and the government should mostly not get involved. Anyone dabble in anarcho syndicalism?
