I agree with both propositions, the first one to a great extent. I could have a stab at defending them:
The pentagon is the nerve centre of the United States military, which is the monopolist of defence in the US. As socialism is defined as the violent abolition of the market, this makes the current military a socialist institution.
Communism aims to promote egalitarianism and champions democracy. It purports to institute “democracy” in the economic realm by giving workers control of the means of production through workers councils, etc.
Democracy is simply the idea that every individual has a vote and is therefore equal, if you follow this egalitarian reasoning you’ll quickly arrive at communism.
It’s a government agency in which the means of production for the good of security are publicly owned, also known as socialism.
