Joe Miller wants to do it.
John Raese wants to do it.
And I’m glad both are, at least, openly advocating it. Not because I believe repealing the policy will radically reduce unemployment, but because I believe a willingness to favor libertarian policy–no matter how “evil” such policies might sound–is necessary to explain the economic theory underlying such proposals.
I saw coverage of this on MSNBC, and, let’s face it: discussing the repeal of federal minimum wage laws hasn’t been discussed on-air for a long, long time.
So… those guys must really hate the poor, right? How can you support a wife and kids on $7.50 an hour?
/sarcasm.
The comments section for the Raese article is loaded with people thinking this guy is out to lunch, and the sky will fall and rivers turn to blood if minimum wage laws are abolished.
I posted a big long response about the economics of the minimum wage which showed up when I went back to the site a few minutes ago. Now it’s been deleted lol.
