Challenging airport scanners - an interesting approach

LRC today has this article discussing the author’s challenge to Disney Co. regarding airport scanners. I think there is a potentially legally actionable approach based on the author’s idea - sue companies that offer prizes or other advertising and incentive packages that include air travel for abetting child abuse or exploitation. It’s always a waste of time to sue the government for doing things that it finds important and which it believes it has political cover to do. But, sometimes, suing private corporations for their cooperation with the government is a good backdoor. Unfortunately, the Bush administration anticipated lawsuits against the telecom companies and had made preparations to protect them from the outset. But I’d love someone to take the bastards by surprise on this issue. It would definitely make news.
