China: What's Their End-Game?

Should We Blame the Chinese for the Recession?

In light of this interesting piece I’m curious as to people’s opinions about what China’s long-term economic strategy could be. They must surely be aware of this blatant “poor subsidizing the rich” situation and, in light of their continued support of US treasuries, how they’re perhaps using this as a stepping-stone to advancing their long-term interests.

I’m aware of the murmurs about establishing a new global reserve currency. How would this benefit China?

As always, all thoughts are appreciated.
