I don’t think we need a standing army. We could have defense agencies. Also a population that is well armed for self-defense reasons outside of defense agency is a rational step too I think.
Stranger defined “State” in that quote of his you provided. I am thinking that instead of saying “State” it would be better to say civil society. I mentioned this later and gave reasons why in that same thread here.
