While my dad has thawed to the libertarian message and happens to like Ron Paul these days. He still thinks he’s wrong on foreign policy issues.He believes that if we don’t maintain our empire abroad and drastically scale down our military, there will a huge void creating chaos. I’ve pointed out the obvious (blowback etc), but I don’t seem to be making much progress there though. However, with time I think he will eventually adopt this position.
I’ve been worrying about this lately, but does anyone think that with all the popularity that Ron Paul has accrued as of late, that he could potentially be assassinated? I mean honestly, while I hope this never happens, I feel like there’s way too many special interests he rides roughshod over on a daily basis. I hope this never happens though, if that does happen, well all hope is truly lost at that point. I’m not a conspiracy theorist or anything like that, I just think he happens to be a wide open target though.
