Other than being disgusted at how intrusive and controlling it is, I’m wondering if this potential decision constitutes as being communist, socialist, corporatist, or fascist or some variey of any?
It’s tyranny. It doesn’t matter what banner it flies under.
I think price controls are either corporatist or fascist, depending on how coercively they are enforced I suppose.
We have discussed those terms in plenty on here. My take away is that they are all too vague to really matter. Talking about them to anyone just results in a big semantics debate. I agree that the best term is simply tyranny.
Price controls are as old as the world, and much older than any of the four ideologies you list.
If you don’t know which it is, it’s usually corporatism.
