I am an Eagle Scout, and have been in the Boy Scouts of America for quite some time now, and in this, I have found example of citizens (scouts in the troop) overthrowing/ignoring the totalitarian gov’t (Senior Patrol Leader, everything begins/end with him and him alone)
Examples is summer camp, where by mid week scouts are tired of him, and ignore in, some yrs even revolted, but then, like sheep, and mind you I was still pro-gov’t at this point, submit after he learned his lesson, and they are typically “nice”/non-despotic after this.
As every psotion in my troop is elected, and can be removed/not recieve credit as time-in rank if not do go job, they have a good record of not being too despotic…
Anyone else have personal experience of this?
