Can someone please tell me where I make the checkbox “Email me replies to this post.” be unchecked by default?
Yes I second this question. It’s annoying to have to uncheck the option. It should be unchecked by default.
Go to the community page where you see your list of friends, and conversations. Next to your avatar you will see a link to “edit my profile”, go there. Click the tab that says: “Site Options”, and go down to “Email Configuration”. Click “No” on the “Send Notifications” option, and no longer will you be pestered by email notifications.
That removes the check box altogether it seems
But what if I want e-mail notifications for like 1 important topic but for nothing else?
