I was surfing the internet for a while when I came across this interesting discussion.
It becomes interesting when the one guy switches from “end the drug war” to “end the FDA, etc”. The others jump him and they argue for a while, then the one guy starts bringing up LVMI.
Yuck. Liberals. They are so rational and scientific though! I am getting pretty annoyed with the stock arguments; these people aren’t interested in actually researching these problems, they just spew out things they absorbed by osmosis without any real understanding of the problems involved.

I come up against that kind of reasoning a lot: “I don’t defend all kinds of governments, only the ones I like (democracy, sometimes republic), and I don’t defend the kinds I like when they do bad things, only when they do good things.”
