At the rate the support is growing from corrupt politicians who take banker money, like Waxman, I suspect this is true.
I think they are going to give Ron Paul this one, and by doing so, dissipate his energy.
The crimes of government are obvious and public for anyone who wants to know about them. It doesn’t stop the mass slaughter of innocent brown people halfway around the world, and it won’t stop the transfer of wealth that the parasites accomplish through their bought and paid for representatives.
People don’t care if they are being wiretapped. The most effective tool of the power elite is that they control the narrative. As long as they choose not to tell people about something, it will not be an issue for public discussion. They did it quite effectively with the Iraq war, and Bush’s other failings to get Obama elected, now that he is in, and continuing the same policies, those topics have disappeared from mainstream discourse.
The Federal Reserve is a government institution. It was charted by an Act of Congress in 1913 called the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. My local grocery store doesn’t need an Act of Congress to open it’s doors. So that’s false. Now if you mean private bankers operate it and had a hand in it’s forming, sure, which doesn’t include the Fed. Chairman who is appointed by the President so technically that position is appointed by the government as well. But will this do anything… I have my doubts. One World Currency anybody.
I do not agree that it is a private institution, but just looking at some left sites, it seems they think it is. It is actually quite a common view, one that must be stamped out. I just call them as I see them. I am one of the few people out there who believe that Ron Paul though a good man, will fail, simply because there is no political solution. Politics is the problem.
I do know Ron Paul states it is a government institution as well. What I do like about Ron Paul is he tries to follow the law in an institution that doesn’t. But he feeds off the masses too just by cashing his paycheck. I guess at least somebody on the inside can clarify what’s going on in that mad house called D.C. But I agree with you. Politics can’t stop it, that only perpetuates it. Like Ronald Reagan saying the government is not the solution but is the problem, yet, Ronald Reagan was in government for a number of years (governor) and then became President. A government official saying the government is the problem yet he supported the government even did some helping out after he left office. Quite odd if you ask me. [*-)]
Dr. Paul is likely the only person that works for the government that wants his salary minimized, if not eliminated. I mean, he is the only Jeffersonian in Washington who doesn’t feel guilty of “derelection of duty”.
It is sort of private in the technical sense. Fed employees are not federal workers, and there are supposingly share holders. Of course it is a chartered bank and it makes no difference- it is a government entity!. The problem is not private vs public, but free market vs. non-free market. The marxist left does not make the distinction. To them, Hitler’s National Socialism was not socialism.
