e-publications

Do you know of any other websites that offer libertarian or pro free market type of epublications.

Try your state college. They might have a libertarian organization. UT Austin has Libertarian Longhorns, who are all into Rothbard.

What i’m really looking for is books (in electronic format) that i can download to my kinddle. The mises institute has a good amount of e-publication books but i wasn’t sure if any other websites offer libertarian pro market electronic books (i don’t think pdf formats will work for the kindle).

Kindle now supports PDF, but if you have an old one you can try this.

Input Formats: .PDF / .DJVU / .TIFF / .CBZ / .CBR and also Imglist/Imgdir (i.e. .JPG / .PNG / .GIF / .TIF / .BMP)
Output Formats: .IMP / .RB / .OEB / .HTML / .LRF / .PRC
eBook readers: EBW1150 / REB1200 / REB1100 / PRS-500 / PRS-505 / KINDLE / CYBOOK GEN 3 / ILIAD

I’ve been trying to use calibre to convert pdf files into mobi files but either it takes forever, or the software is freezing up on me. Any other ways to do this?

I just got the pdf on my kindle but the text is tiny and all the normal functions like text-to-speech and changing font are disenabled.

Using the way I linked? I actually don’t know and was just trying to help. I think something I read said to convert to .PRC instead of .mobi though if you want to try that.

@E. R. Olovetto Thanks for the advice. I may try that next. I just got a David Grodon book from pdf to mobi and then transfered it to the kindle. It seems to work, but there are many kinks (some of the other pdfs don’t seem to work well). For example the pictures are upside down, etc

You’re welcome. That forum looks like a good place to ask if you have problems too.
